About the Author

I could list educational virtues, employment history, drop a bunch of names, and relate personal experience but would that really matter? I am not Albert Einstein but I'm also not jimbo45 on social media. I suggest reading a bit of the book and then making a guess. Anything between "total moron" and "new messiah" would be acceptable to me. (I would however recommend therapy for the former and, well, you can't fix stupid for the latter.)

My objective is to introduce concepts that I hope will inspire new perspectives. If any of them succeed then I am a happy puppy.

I was born an engineer and as such was attracted to science in general. A rather unique characteristic of engineering is that when designing a device or computer code, beliefs don't solve problems, understanding does. Another rather unique characteristic of engineering is that learning that you are wrong results in a better product. Ego must be sacrificed to learn.

There is an old joke about a priest, a politician and an engineer sentenced death by guillotine. The guillotine fails when the executioner pulls the rope to chop the heads of the priest and the politician. It's a miracle, they are absolved of their sins and allowed to go free. The engineer is put on the guillotine. The executioner readies to pulls the rope when the engineer exclaims "Wait, wait I see the problem".

The one "award" that I like:
Mr. Britton was awarded the prestigious Conceptitus Emeritus award in 1972 by the Jeffrey Davis Cosmological Musicality Institute. Mr. Britton continues to put people to sleep with with his philosophical ramblings to this day.
